What’s pouring

Our tap list changes often. Here’s what’s available right now.

Come for a pint, stay a while.

Big windows and good light with the brewhouse working away behind glass.

Behind the bar you'll find people who know their stuff. The bartenders can walk you down the whole tap wall, point you toward something new, or pour you the usual without being asked. Tell them what you like and they'll find your next favourite. There's room to pull up to the bar, grab a table with friends, or settle in for the afternoon.

  • Cozy room with a view of the brewery
  • First come, first served, no reservations
  • 13 beers on tap, plus sodas and cider
  • Family friendly, all day

All Roads Lead To Foam

We are dedicated to the pour. A great beer can be made or broken at the tap, and foam is something we celebrate, not fight. So we pour a few different ways, each matched to the beer in the glass.

  • A straight American 304 stainless faucet pouring a clear ale

    American 304

The North American straight faucet, 304 stainless and quick to the glass. It lets a hop-forward American ale and IPA show exactly what it's got.

  • A European ball-lever faucet building a tight foam cap on a lager

    Euro-ball

The classic ball-lever faucet from across the Atlantic. It builds a tight, lasting foam cap and a clean pour that keeps a crisp lager or pilsner tasting fresh. We pour our European styles this way.

  • A Czech Lukr side-pull faucet mid-pour through its fine screen

    Lukr Side Pull

The Czech side-pull faucet, opened slowly through a fine screen. It lets the "tapster" alter the foam to beer ratio. We pour West Ritchie Seventy Six three ways on it: mlíko, šnyt, and hladinka.

  • A nitro faucet pouring a stout that cascades under a creamy head

    Nitro Pour

Pushed with nitrogen instead of CO₂, a nitro pour cascades in the glass and settles under a dense, creamy head. Smooth and soft, the way a stout or a creamy ale is meant to drink.

Special Events Only

Angram Beer Engine

For special events, we hand-pull cask beer through an Angram beer engine (also called a hand pull). Real ale the traditional English way, soft and gently carbonated, served at cellar temperature. Look for it on Happy Beer Street Sizzler days.

Birch & Bear Pizza

West Coast pizza, Ritchie address.

Our friends at Birch and Bear run the kitchen here, turning out West Coast-style thin-crust pizza, made fresh to order.

From our brewery to your glass.

Every beer is brewed behind the glass, a few steps from where you're sitting. Small batches, always fresh.

Two friends started Ale Architect in 2018, one from a creative background, one from engineering, chasing beers they couldn't find anywhere else. For years those beers were contract brewed at other breweries. In 2023 we opened our own place on Happy Beer Street, and now every batch is made in Ritchie, from grain to glass.
